Next Thursday, April 30th at 12:45 p.m., we will hold a new edition of Interlabs in the Visualization Room. These are scientific and technical outreach sessions in which early-career researchers from different groups and laboratories briefly present their work on CITEEC’s research areas.
In this edition, we will have Xesús Nogueria Garea as the sponsor, Professor in the Department of Mathematics and researcher in the Numerical Methods in Engineering Group (GMNI), who will lead the event and moderate the following presentations:
- Martín Patricio Montenegro Ambrosi. “Improving flood forecasting using Artificial Intelligence.” PhD candidate in the Water and Environmental Engineering Group (GEAMA).
- Adrián López Rosales. “Development of protocols to analyze microplastics in the environment.” PhD candidate in the Applied Analytical Chemistry Group (QANAP).
- Miguel Herbón Penabad. “Application of true triaxial tests in rock mechanics.” PhD candidate in the Water and Environmental Engineering Group (GEAMA).
- Thomas Gallagher Romero. “From image to prediction: biomechanistic models in breast cancer.” Research Technician in the Numerical Methods in Engineering Group (GMNI).
These talks promote knowledge exchange between groups and encourage the emergence of potential interdisciplinary research lines. They have an estimated duration of 1 hour, and admission will be free until full capacity is reached.
