The #CITEECTeam at the Espazo Compartido’s interships closing ceremony

Last Friday, June 26, the #CITEECteam visited the School of Civil Engineering (ETS de Enxeñaría de Camiños, Canais e Portos) to attend the closing ceremony of the internships of the Espazo Compartido students, a UDC-specific degree programme aimed at promoting autonomy and employability for people with intellectual disabilities.

During this academic year, CITEEC had the great pleasure of welcoming Alejandro López Lodeiro, who completed his internship as part of our technical and management team. Over these months, Alejandro took part in different tasks and activities within the centre, contributing to the daily work at CITEEC and gaining new professional skills.

His responsibilities included inventory and materials organisation, audiovisual support for corporate video recording, photography at various outreach events, and collaboration in concrete testing and laboratory sessions, always showing a proactive attitude and a strong willingness to learn.

This experience helped strengthen CITEEC’s commitment to inclusion, equal opportunities, and the creation of enriching learning and working environments for everyone. It also highlighted the value that programmes such as Espazo Compartido bring both to students and collaborating institutions.

We conclude this chapter with gratitude and satisfaction, as we also learned a great deal from the teamwork, optimism, and energy that Alex shared with us during these months. We would like to thank him for his work and dedication, and wish him the very best in his future personal and professional endeavours.
