Jorge Moreda Piñeiro

I have been a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of A Coruña since 2003. Since 1998, I have been a member of the Applied Analytical Chemistry Research Group (QANAP), recognized as a consolidated and leading research group within the Galician University System. My main research areas focus on the development of new analytical methodologies for the determination of priority and emerging contaminants in environmental, food, and clinical matrices. I have participated in 32 R&D projects funded through competitive regional, national, and European calls for proposals, and in more than 15 contracts/agreements with industries, public institutions, and technology centers, some of them as principal investigator. My research output comprises 120 articles (JCR-indexed journals), most of which (85 articles) are in first-quartile journals, 9 books/book chapters, and presentations at more than 140 conferences. This research is also summarized in the training of young researchers (three Doctoral Theses directed), as well as in the academic/research training of Undergraduate students in Chemistry and Master’s students in Chemistry (10 Master’s Theses and 23 Undergraduate Final Projects).
