Javier Eiras López
Doctor of Civil Engineering (Dr. Engineer of Roads, Canals and Ports) from the University of A Coruña
He teaches at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering of the University of A Coruña (UDC), focusing primarily on Construction Materials. He has been a researcher in the Construction Group of the HIgher Technical School of Civil Engineering of A Coruña since 2004.
His research work has focused on construction materials technology, within which the following lines stand out:
· Concrete technology.
· Properties in fresh and hardened state of cement pastes and mortars.
· Material recycling techniques.
He has participated in 18 competitive research projects, serving as principal investigator in three of them. He has also collaborated on several other projects, including research transfer initiatives with private companies. He has been awarded two six-year research periods and one six-year transfer period. He is the co-author of 14 articles in scientific journals and has presented more than 20 papers at national and international conferences.
Regarding his teaching career, he began teaching as an assistant professor in 2006 in the field of construction engineering, where he currently continues as a tenured university professor. He has participated in the Erasmus+ STA program, which allowed him to teach at two European universities.
