Emma Velo Castro
I am interested in communication and its application to new media. I stay up-to-date on marketing, advertising, and communication strategies, techniques, and methods. Academically, I focus on social behavior and its relationship with the environment from the perspective of sustainability and communication. I studied Communication Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela and hold a master’s degree in Marketing from Camilo José Cela University. I am a doctoral candidate in the Developmental, Learning, and Health Psychology Program at the Faculty of Education of the University of A Coruña, and I collaborate with the Person-Environment Group.
I have several publications on social justice and communication related to my research. I have experience as a tenured professor at the Center for Higher Studies of Galicia (CESUGA) in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, teaching the subjects of Communication Skills, Communication Theory, Communication Ethics, Communicative Writing, and Audiovisual Advertising.
Currently, I work as a communication and marketing expert at Ecos do Sur, where I coordinate an Erasmus+ KA2 Project and collaborate on several regional and national projects on narrative and social change.
