Alfonso Orro Arcay

Alfonso Orro Arcay holds a PhD in Civil Engineering. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in Transport Engineering and Infrastructure at the University of A Coruña and co-director of the A Coruña Sustainable Mobility Laboratory (SusMobLab). He has been co-director of the Master’s Program in Logistics and Transport since 2014, participating in the drafting and implementation of its curriculum. After a period as a transport planning consultant, since 1997 he is dedicated to teaching and research in the fields of transport planning, logistics, transport engineering, and railways at the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering in A Coruña, where he served as Deputy Director of Studies (2001-2004). He has regularly participated in research projects and contracts, as well as international and national conferences in the field. He has published books, book chapters, and articles in international journals. He has collaborated with the Scientific and Technical Coordination, Evaluation and Monitoring Division of the State Research Agency as coordinator of the Transport sub-area (2018 – 2022).
