This researcher’s primary field of study is computational hydraulics, and in particular, the development of finite element models for calculating the flow of incompressible fluids. More specifically, in recent years, several codes have been programmed, verified, and calibrated to efficiently and accurately solve for incompressible flow, both in open surface and porous media. Coupled models have also been developed that allow for the interaction between open surface flow and groundwater flow. Once properly verified, these models have been used in the evaluation of several natural watersheds.
