Miguel Herbón Penabad
Student of the PhD program in Civil Engineering after obtaining his degree in Roads, Canals and Ports Engineering. His research career began at the UDC’s Soil Engineering Laboratory, where he actively collaborates in R&D&I projects related to rock mechanics, the thermo-hydromechanical behavior of materials and the study of fracture in granitic and sandstone rocks. He participated in projects funded by both public and private entities.
He is the author of several scientific articles in international journals, as well as communications in international conferences such as Eurock. He is currently carrying out his doctoral thesis in the Civil Engineering Program of the UDC, focused on the design of a system to perform triaxial tests applied to hydraulic fracturing.
