María Isabel Turnes Carou

PhD in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Since 1996, I have been a faculty member at the University of A Coruña (UDC) in the Analytical Chemistry department, teaching at the undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, and master’s levels. I supervise doctoral theses, undergraduate theses, DEA (Diploma of Advanced Studies), Master’s theses, and final degree projects.

As a member of the QANAP group, I have participated in numerous R&D projects funded through regional, national, and European public calls for proposals on environmental topics. I have also participated as a researcher in several high-profile research contracts with companies and public administrations.

Co-author of over 50 articles published in JCR-indexed scientific journals, mostly in the first quartile, in the fields of analytical chemistry and the environment. Regular participant in national and international conferences related to my research and teaching innovation. Member of the organizing committee for various conferences and participant in science outreach events.
