María Isabel Martínez Lage
Civil Engineer. From 1989 to 1993, I worked professionally in companies within the sector. Since 1994, I have been a full-time professor, initially in the Department of Applied Mathematics and, since 2004, in the Department of Construction Engineering. I defended my doctoral thesis in March 2007. From 2008 to 2018, I was a Tenured Lecturer, and since 2018, I have been a Senior Lecturer.
My main lines of research are construction and demolition waste, sustainable building materials and eco-concretes.
Currently my teaching focuses on Construction and Building subjects, in degrees and master’s programs related to Civil Engineering or sustainability.
I have been Director of the Higher Technical School of Civil Engineering for 4 years, and Deputy Director for 4 and a half years, Director of the Department of Civil Engineering for 4 years and Secretary of the Department of Construction Technology for 5 and a half years.
