María Belén González Fonteboa

Professor at the University of A Coruña in the area of ​​Construction Engineering. She has supervised several doctoral theses that have received awards from the Royal Academy of Doctors of Galicia, the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain, and the ANCI association. Her research focuses on concrete technology, construction materials, sustainable construction, the use of waste or byproducts in construction, special concretes, their rheology in their fresh state, and their durability. All of these areas aim to promote sustainability and bioconstruction as drivers for the development of the construction sector of the future. This research has been developed through participation in and coordination of more than 25 competitive projects and more than 50 agreements with companies. As a result, she has published more than 50 articles in indexed journals, more than 50 presentations at international and national conferences, and more than 10 books or book chapters. She belongs to the editorial committee of several high-impact journals and is part of the management panel of sub-area 11/ICA (Civil Engineering and Architecture of the State Research Agency).
