Luís Pena Mosquera

Luís Pena Mosquera is a tenured lecturer in Hydraulic Engineering at the University of A Coruña (UDC) and a member of the GEAMA research group. His research focuses on the physical and numerical modeling of hydraulic infrastructure, the design of river crossing devices, the study of river habitats, and the calculation of carbon and water footprints. He has participated in numerous R&D projects funded through regional and national public calls for proposals, and since 2005 he has collaborated on knowledge transfer agreements with companies such as Gas Natural Fenosa, Endesa, Emalcsa, Applus+, and Eyser, as well as public organizations like the CEDEX Hydrographic Studies Center. His work combines applied research and technical assistance, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in the field of hydraulic engineering. He has been recognized for three five-year teaching periods and two six-year research periods, which attest to his academic and scientific career.
