Javier Terán Baamonde
Javier Terán Baamonde, PhD (2017), received international recognition and the Extraordinary Doctoral Award. He is a member of the Applied Analytical Chemistry (QANAP) research group at the University of A Coruña (UDC). He is also accredited by ACSUG (Galician Agency for Quality in the University System) for various university teaching positions and has conducted research stays at national and international centers.
His research focuses on developing new analytical strategies to study environmental or toxicological problems related to human health (e.g., in vitro bioaccessibility studies) and the environment. She has extensive experience analyzing a wide variety of samples: environmental, agri-food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic, as well as those derived from materials science, such as polymers and their chemical additives, etc.; and in the use of complex instrumental analytical techniques, such as atomic spectrometry (AAS and ICP) coupled to chromatographic separation systems (GC-ICP/MS and HPLC-ICP/MS), direct analysis by laser ablation (LA) or direct mercury analyzer, identification/characterization/quantification of nanoparticles using single-particle ICP/MS and Asymmetric Flow Field Fractionation with MALS, DLS, IR, and UV detectors.
He also has professional experience in quality management systems and accreditation processes based on ISO 17025 and 9001 standards, acquired from various collaborative projects with companies and previous professional experiences.
