Jacobo Díaz García

Jacobo Díaz García holds a PhD in Civil Engineering and is a University Professor in the area of ​​Continuum Mechanics and Structural Theory. He heads the Structural Dynamics Laboratory at CITEEC, and his research focuses on multidisciplinary structural optimization, impact protection in transportation, design under uncertainty, and additive manufacturing and modeling of composite materials. His research has resulted in over 60 indexed publications and has received more than 800 citations. He has led and participated in competitive European, national, and regional research projects with a total budget exceeding €3.5 million. He has also carried out technology transfer projects in the aerospace, automotive, naval, and civil engineering sectors. He is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), has carried out research stays in the Department of Aerospace Structures and Materials at Delft University of Technology and collaborates with researchers from the European Space Agency, the University of Edinburgh, the Politecnico di Milano, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the Rey Juan Carlos University.
