I have a degree in Chemistry from the University of A Coruña (UDC), where I did an Erasmus stay at the Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara (Romania). During my undergraduate studies, I specialized in the area of Analytical Chemistry, developing my Final Degree Project (TFG) in the Applied Analytical Chemistry (QANAP) research group of the university itself.
After finishing my degree in 2021, I obtained a training grant coordinated by the Fundación Universidade da Coruña, which allowed me to continue my research work in the QANAP group.
In September of the same year, I started the Master’s in Bioinformatics for Health Sciences at the UDC. I did my internship at the Biomedical Research Institute of A Coruña (INIBIC), where I gained experience in programming, library development and mass sequencing techniques. Finally, I presented my Final Master’s Thesis with the QANAP group, with which I managed to integrate my two areas of training: chemistry and computer science.
Currently, I am part of the QANAP research group and the Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) of the UDC, thanks to a pre-doctoral contract associated with the FPI grant obtained in 2023 (FPIUDC2023/3), in the framework of the SplashMare project.
